Asian Liquor Cabinet in Lacquered Wood, China – 1950

This asian liquor cabinet in honey-colored lacquered exotic wood opens with a lid mounted on hinges offering a modular space with flaps and bottle storage. This piece of furniture has in the lower part a double door with falling brass handles providing access to a second storage space provided for bottles. Each slightly rounded side has two doors concealing a compartment and three compartments for hanging and storing glasses. The doors, the flap and the inside of the lid are decorated with scenes of life and traditional landscapes from the middle kingdom in painted stone on a black lacquer background.
