Vintage kokeshi by takeda masashi / 31 cm

Minimalist vintage kokeshi in elm wood, decorated with stylized hollow flowers, made by takeda masashi. Trained as a traditional sakunami/yamagata artist in Yonezawa, Yamagata Prefecture. His master is Takeda Usaburo, who was also the mentor of Masashi's older brother Shinkichi, who remained a traditional Yamagata artist.
