Description
This engraving countersigned rené pinard in 1927 and numbered 2/160 is entitled "archdiaconé de la mée". It has a wooden frame and protective glass, it is large in size. The engraving is in generally presentable condition, we note small traces in places, spots of rust. René pinard (1883-1938) is a french painter and engraver. He was appointed painter of the navy in 1921. Obviously, as a marine painter, most of his work has the theme of the sea, the navy and sailors. Moreover, more often the boats than the sea itself. He produced a number of beautiful works: engravings, drawings, watercolors, characterized by a systematic use of powerful black.
