Original painting by roger crusat on wooden support. 24 X 33 cm. Roger crusat (2 march 1917 – 16 february 1994) was a french painter, lithographer and poet. Claiming catalan identity, he lived in montmartre. If the oldest known paintings of roger crusat are very colorful catalan landscapes, he joined in his youth a company of ballets of which he created the costumes and painted the sets at the same time as he himself was a dancer1. He was then a pupil of andré fons godail at the école des beaux-arts in perpignan, then, after being mobilized in the second world war, of rené jaudon at the école nationale supérieure des beaux-arts in paris1. Finally, he lives and works in the city of artists "les fusains", at 22, rue tourlaque in the 18th arrondissement of paris2. "the catalan painter of montmartre", as roger crusat was then nicknamed1, was a member of the salon des indépendants, the salon d'automne and the national society of fine arts. In addition to the exhibitions mentioned below, he has hung his works in private exhibitions in perpignan, geneva and brussels, in group exhibitions in belgium, japan and mexico.
