I offer you this magnificent ceramic by alfred renoleau (1854-1930). Presented here as a lamp base, signed by the artist. 34 cm high and in good general condition, an authentic piece from the angoulême art pottery, founded in 1891 by this renowned ceramist. Renoleau is famous for his creations inspired by the style of bernard palissy, notably his flamed, iridescent, and crystallized stoneware, as well as his art nouveau works produced from 1905 onwards. He is also particularly recognized for his blue ceramics with deep, nuanced glazes, almost his visual signature. The shades of blue he used are typical of his workshop, with plays of texture and shine that are often reminiscent of molten crystal or japanese-style glazes. There is, however, an old "accident" on the neck of the piece, which was glued back together at the time. It is not visible at first glance and is not detrimental. Therefore, indulgence will be required for this old piece with its contemporary and avant-garde design. In working order. It will fit into any style of decoration.
