Mindi has a density comparable to red oak. The janka scale has a scale that rates the hardness of the wood and the mass of mindi at 1,055, while red oak is at 1,060. The difference in hardness between the two is almost imperceptible. Mindi is naturally resistant to rot and mold, just like cedar wood. The texture is coarse like oak, but has tighter grains than oak. Each wooden kitchen stool is handmade. This makes each stool unique and environmentally friendly.
