Brutalist folk art bench
Description
Original and rare small brutalist wooden bench, probably from the end of the 18th/beginning of the 19th century given the marks of the tools used in the manufacture. The seat is made from a piece of trunk cut in a simple and rustic way. The file appears to have been changed. Stained appearance (walnut husk) and colorless wax with original patina, it can also be lightened to natural wood color, but it's a question of taste! Dimensions 75 X 63 X 75 cm height (back), seat height 42 cm. This bench is a very beautiful witness to ancient popular art, functional and without embellishment, it has a soul and takes us back to the evenings of yesteryear by the fire, privileged moments which were used in the manufacture of these objects. Whole healthy, solid and perfectly usable as is. Note: also for sale on another advertisement, a tripod coffee table which accompanied this bench. (see photos).
