Large ceramic shell dish by Dominique Guillot for Vallauris 1960, giant oyster dish
Description
Very large shell-shaped dish (praire) dating from the 1960s and created by dominique guillot in vallauris, france. Made of ceramic and hand painted in gray, brown and very light blue tones, very close to the shell in question. The back of the dish is blue. It is signed under the base "guillot". This model has become very rare and sought after. Originally, it was created to serve seafood, but it can also be used as a large storage tray in an entryway or on a large dining room table to place some fruit! Good general condition, note: some traces and stains on the back of the dish and on the edges. Please look at the photos carefully, they are part of the product description! As this dish is vintage, it may have wear and imperfections which make it a unique piece with a story! Dimensions: 43 cm long / 41 cm wide / 6 cm high. Weight excluding packaging: 2.7 kg.
