Vintage Gispen model 216 chair Wim Rietveld Design

Vintage Gispen chair Wim Rietveld (model 216). This original old Gispen chair with Bakelite armrests was designed by Wim Rietveld for Gispen in 1952. The frame is made of steel and both the seat and the backrest are made of curved beech plywood, mounted on soft spring rubber discs. The upholstery is made of black leatherette (original). Considering its age, this vintage chair is still in good condition, some damage on the back of the backrests (see photos). Dimensions approximately: 57 cm length, 50 cm depth, 76 cm height and 44 cm seat height. Armrest height 65.5 cm.
