Description
Little easy chair ron arad children's armchair for moroso in 1989 covered in red wool. Height: 60 cm, seat height: 29 cm, length: 80 cm, depth 47 cm. Ron arad is an israeli contemporary industrial designer, artist and architect. Considered one of the most influential designers of his generation, arad is responsible for numerous innovations in the areas of rapid manufacturing and integrated technology. Born april 24, 1951 in tel aviv, he attended the bezalel academy of arts and design in jerusalem, then moved to london to study architecture. He broke through with rover chair (1981), a postmodern piece of furniture assembled from scrap metal and seats removed from rover brand cars. Arad creates objects for brands such as kenzo, swarovski, and new eye london, among others. He was the subject of a major retrospective at the moma in york in 2008, which notably showed how his furniture was capable of sending and displaying messages. In 2013, he became a royal academician of the royal academy of arts. He lives and works in london, england.
