Superb rectangular mahogany chest of drawers-secretary from the 19th century, Charles X period, restoration. In flamed mahogany veneer on an oak structure, it has 4 drawers including 1 plinth. The front of the upper part opens and reveals a leather-trimmed secretary and drawers decorated with rosewood veneer. The lock on the secretary part works very well and the lock still has its key. The locks on the 3 drawers below no longer have a key. Inside, the two drawers with knobs slide well. The two small secret side drawers do not open (review the opening/closing system if necessary). The drawer pull handles and the lock escutcheons are original and made of bronze. The piece of furniture is sound, robust and perfectly stable. There are traces of time, general wear consistent with its age. However, it remains perfectly usable in its current state and offers a beautiful storage space. The lateral sides are not cracked. The back has been partially restored to keep the base elements securely assembled. The white marble top has some scratches and marks in places (see all photos). The leather of the writing desk is faded. Height: 98 cm. Width: 129 cm. Depth: 62 cm. Drawers: usable interior space - height 13 cm X width 103 cm X depth 42 cm.
