Owl ceramic by Aldo Londi for Bitossi rare 1950

Very rare large ceramic owl from the 1950s by aldo londi for bitossi. This is the original model from the 1950s with its very typical floral decoration which was then available in the 1960s in red, orange and of course rimini blue. This model is white/light beige with blue, green, black floral decoration. Late models do not always bear a signature, this is not the case here: this model bears the marking "54/12 b italy"; the b actually indicates an old bitossi brand. I came across this model in the yellow version and it had the same marking. Empty weight 1 kg -- height 16.5cm -- length 19cm -- width 11.5cm. Excellent condition without dents, cracks or chips. There is a small cooking defect on the back which can be seen in the images. This ceramic is from my personal collection and it is the only one that I have come across: this confirms the rarity of this old model.
