Vivai Del Sud coffee table in rattan and transparent glass, 1950s

Coffee table from the italian publisher founded by the brothers giorgio, gianfranco and piero di pierri in rome in 1950 composed of a table leg in the shape of a flower with five curved petals in dark wood-colored and lightly varnished rattan and a round tray in transparent glass. The work of the rattan as well as the work of the shape of the base are exceptional here since they are composed of a succession of small round rods joined together forming a texture, all connected by thicker rattan rods to form the frame. The glass top is simply placed on the base and remains very stable even with support thanks to its ten support points on the rattan structure. Solid and stable, this coffee table is in very good condition for its age since we have faded all traces of time with tinting wax for the rattan and the glass only has three fine scratches which are barely noticeable since they were melted in the lines of the rattan. Ideal in a living room or in a shop as a podium, this coffee table will find its place in any type of interior and will bring a vintage and designer touch to your decoration.
