Chair Thonet model 209 called "Le Corbusier"

We no longer present this classic curved wooden chair! Since the 20s, this 209 model has often been called a "masterpiece" because of its design and manufacture: the backrest and armrests are formed of a single curved overhang frame, made from a single piece of solid beech. Still made today, this iconic chair has only taken a wrinkle. The ones we offer are difficult to date, we estimate it in the 50s / 60s. But the very old label of the underside testifies to its authenticity and its advanced age. This model was originally with a very used canning seat. It has been restored with a seat in plywood, foam and linden green velvet upholstery. The frame has been repainted white and shows some claws revealing the old dark green color.
