The lyra armchair by poltrona frau is an iconic model from the historic poltrona frau collection. The lyra, made entirely of leather, was first noticed in 1934 and can be seen as an evolution of the 'lira' armchair, dating from 1916, which had a leather base and a velvet cushion. The armchair is still made in the same way as back then, making it an exceptional craftsmanship product. It has leather-covered studs on the backrest and a comfortable cushion filled with goose down. The support structure is made of beech wood and is filled with steel springs for the seat and backrest. These steel springs are connected together by a rope and covered with rubberized horsehair. 24 carat gold plated plate with galvanic bath, limited editions, example number 7077 and example number 7073.
