A classic of British design from the 1950s... Based in England, the prestigious Ercol has been working with wood for nearly a century: a real institution in the United Kingdom! It was in 1920 that Lucian Ercolani, son of an Italian immigrant in London, decided to found his own furniture factory. Resulting from a remarkable artisanal work of wood, his creations will quickly acquire an international reputation. Today, Ercol remains one of the last English furniture manufacturers still in operation. Every part that comes out of Ercol's factories is handcrafted in England: a guarantee of impeccable quality. An inspired blend of retro lines and contemporary design for this superb sofa designed in the 1950s by Ercol's founder Lucian Ercolani. The bar armrests refer to a great classic: the Windsor chair, very popular in the 18th century. The design of this sofa, imbued with a very Scandinavian simplicity, was very avant-garde for the time and has survived the times without taking a wrinkle.
