Beautiful design iconic mid-century austrian coffee table, designed by carl auböck and manufactured in werkstätte auböck vienna in the 1950s. This fabulous piece is made from a large shaped and beautifully grained walnut tree trunk and is mounted on three brass pipe legs with their original rubber boots. The copper legs are marked "made in austria" and numbered "49". The magazine is also numbered 49 at the bottom. Each of auböck's tables are unique, one-of-a-kind masterpieces and as such, no two are ever the same. This is a beautiful design piece and very rare.
