Description
Hello, here is an old alsatian sandstone jar, dating from the beginning of the 20th century. Salt was applied to the pottery before firing at 1250°, in order to obtain the desired pattern in this very pretty shade of cobalt blue typical of betschdorf pottery. In a good state of conservation, it has a small shock on its collar, visible in the photographs, as well as a hole, nicely pierced at the back... Contrary to the mystery of its existence.
