Hello Here is an old S.R.D. jar. for "Supply Reserve Depot". It contained rum and was intended to supply the British Army in the 1940s. The depot was located in Normandy. When the English retreated, the depot was looted by the locals. These jars were made from 1847 to 1950 by the famous potter George Skey located in Wilnecote Tamworth. This example is in a good state of preservation, with a small shock on its base, as well as a few scratches, visible on the various photographs. Thank you for visiting.
