Jouet candle holder in opaline by portieux - flambeau twisted ribs 8.3 cm

This lovely little candle holder is in white opaline. It is a child's toy, referenced in the catalog of glass and opaline factories of portieux vallerysthal (joint catalogs). This twisted ribbed torch is a beautiful milky white color. Dating from the very beginning of the 20th century, these pressed-molded glass opalines were sold at fairs or popular markets. In good general condition, I note traces of the baking mold and chips on the edges. Dimensions: h8.3 cm X 3cm in diameter at the top X 5.3 cm in diameter at the base. A lovely opaline to collect or give as a gift.
