Description
Jean Lesage lounge chair, produced by Airborne in the early 1950s. Tubular metal structure with traces of non-perforating oxidation. Original cushion in imitation leather, without holes or tears. Unrestored furniture sold as is. Jean Lesage is known for having been Jacques Adnet's "right arm" in the 1930s when he took over the French Arts Company where he presented creators such as René Gabriel and Charlotte Perriand. After the war he worked with several publishers such as ABC Furniture or Airborne for this chaise longue. Bibliography: furniture set vol. 13, 1953, a similar model reproduced plate n°13.
