Description
Sideboard - Gaston Poisson - 1960s. This magnificent mid-century sideboard was designed by Gaston Poisson in the 1960s in France. A classic mid-century design, sculptural with stunning lines, the solid handles are beautifully styled and very elegant. This functional room offers a large double cupboard, with built-in shelf and 2 drawers for the right side, a cupboard with shelves on the other side. The right side opens onto a cupboard with a drop-down door fitted with a key marked "gp", a wooden module with 2 compartments allows you to slide smaller objects/dishes inside. Presence of the nf furnishings label inside the cupboard (see photos): the nf oval takes up the symbolism of the seal, a guarantee of quality, safety and reliability for the consumer: “what is said is proven”. Any certified piece of furniture is recognizable by a stamp (located on a door inside a piece of furniture, under the seat of a chair, under the top of a table, etc.). Gaston Poisson is a cabinetmaker recognized for the solidity of these creations and one of the French designers who stood out in the 1960s. This model presented here is particularly rare. Dimensions: l 210 x d 46 x h 97. Materials: teak. Proof of attribution: the signed key and the NF furniture label inside the sideboard. Origin: France. Edited: gaston fish. Restoration: the sideboard has been completely sanded and oiled to protect and nourish the wood. Condition: good condition, a deep scratch on the tray and dents on the front part under the doors (see photos) Weight: approximately 40 kg.
