Buddha 4 faces of life

It represents the four unlimited states of the buddha (brahmavihara): love (maitri or metta), compassion (karuna), benevolent joy (mudita) and equanimity (upeksha). 80s-90s. Originally from groningen (netherlands). It measures 13 cm high, 12 wide and 12 deep. It weighs 2.7 kg. Sealed at the base. In gilded metal, possibly bronze or tibetan silver (alloy of silver, tin, zinc and copper). Traditionally, it is believed that if a request is written to the buddha on a paper placed under the image, the powers of the four-faced buddha are useful in dangerous situations, in things of great importance, and in business. In good condition, with stains and marks of time (see photos).
