Description
Beautiful congregational table in fruit wood from the mid-nineteenth century. It comes from a convent in southern france. Beyond its overall good look, one immediately notices the depth and intensity of its patina, both at the level of the deck and the wide plateau. The fruit wood always gives warm hues but that of the 19th is even more effective. It rests on 4 feet whose beautiful curvatures lighten the more square structure of the plateau. The exposed pegs bring their inevitable touch of authenticity. The 3 drawers were all handmade of course, and can not be interverted. On the façade, sparkling brass handles contrast sharply with the wood. The bottoms are solid pine so extremely solid. The sides are silent (see photos) and in excellent condition, like the back. There are some superficial traces of life here and there but this piece of furniture is in superb condition, solid, stable, and very bright. Ideal for a living room, kitchen or dining room, it can also perfectly serve as a tv stand. Length: 180 cm. Prof: 79 cm. Total height: 80 cm. Height under drawers: 50 cm.
