Large impressive academic drawing by renée belvaux (1903-1984), belgian artist from liège, dated 1922 and signed on the back. Beautiful large xl format, detailed study of the male body, note the finesse on which the muscles are depicted, this drawing was made with charcoal on paper, not framed. Renée made this drawing when she was 19 and she later became part of what is called the liège landscape school ('ecole liégeoise du paysage'). The majority of her works were oil paintings and were about the landscape in her living environment, liège. She also often painted portraits, sometimes watercolor but mostly oil on canvas. The drawing will be carefully packaged and shipped rolled up. In very good antique condition, over 100 years old, but very well preserved, minimal wear to the corners, check the photos for more details! Dimensions: 85x60cm.
