Very beautiful handmade pitcher in glazed ceramic with a nice hand-painted decoration, beautiful colors, and especially this green that caught my eye! Beautiful decorative object in itself or to receive a bouquet of dried flowers, I would not use it in water, because at the bottom of the pitcher, part of the enamel seems less smooth, perhaps a little porous suddenly, and this could damage this very beautiful pitcher. It seems relatively old, 50s perhaps, but without certainty at the moment. It is not signed but I am pretty sure of its exact provenance. Indeed, as much on the patterns as the colors, the resemblance is striking with other pottery, signed these, of the serghini workshop in safi in morocco, which exists since 1832, 8 generations (see their website, as much the history part of the family workshop, as their production, it's wonderful!). I am waiting for information from this workshop, and I will pass it on to you here. This pitcher is in good condition, neither crack nor shine, varnish in good condition, but it does not hide its age: the enamelling has cracks under the varnish, and defects of origin, manufacture, which perhaps explains the absence of signature... Burrs and stains under the varnish and a dozen points where the varnish is absent (it is original, they are not abrasions, or chips, they are small gaps, not covered at the time of varnishing). It measures 15.5 cm in height, 18 cm in width (including handle), 12 cm in diameter. It weighs about 850g.
