Description
Old Japanese vase called satsuma type of Japanese porcelain born in the 16th century still produced today. Typical production begins at the end of the 19th century in the province of satsumaa the extreme south of Japan this production is mainly intended for export and allows the development of Japonism in Europe. The bottom of the vase is ivory color and it has large decorations in very colorful enamels in ochre and gold tones. There are characters of samurai and geishas as well as the landscape of the mountains. Moreover the signature of the vase speaks of man and mountains. Period 1900, only one minimal chip of enamel see photo.
