Hanging Moon Lamp by Hans Agne Jakobsson for Hans Agne Jakobsson Ab Markaryd, 1960s

A fantastic lamp made of thin pine slats on a pine base gives a fantastic warm light. Designed by hans-agne jakobsson, who founded his own lighting company hans-agne jakobsson ab in markaryd in 1951. He also designed lamps for his 2 other companies: ab ellysett, also in markaryd. Lamps made entirely of pine wood; this was his first step into the lighting business and his biggest success. Ab ellysett produced many pine lamps for ikea in the 1970s, based on its designs from the 1950s and 1960s. A spherical lamp with vertical fins arranged like a fan to allow individual light adjustment. Circles arranged around the light source give a soft and indirect light. The lamp is preserved in original condition, there is one repaired defect visible in the photo.
