Description
In the style of andré dubreuil (1951-2022) Pair of sun sconces forming a candle picnic. Wrought iron with gilded patina and frosted glass. Work of very good quality, design of the twentieth century. Height: 65cm. Width: 40cm. Depth: 25cm. Very good condition. *prolific and talented artistic, he is at the origin of the chair "spine" (1986). This model is now an iconic piece present in many encyclopedias and museums dedicated to design. He perfectly illustrates his unique style and his taste for materials and shapes. André dubreuil was born in france in 1951. After several internships with antique dealers, he flew to england where he remained for about ten years. He studied drawing at the inchbald school of design while evolving in the middle of the night. He met many artists including creators. Following his studies, he got a job in a decoration agency. Subsequently, he met tom dixon and mark brazier jones with whom he developed a taste for soldering irons. He then became interested in copper, steel, enamel... In 1978, during an exhibition organized in paris at the galerie néotu, he met gladys mougin, the one who would become his agent. André dubreuil is above all considered a true artist and craftsman. He died on april 22, 2022.
