Wall unit in teak with sliding doors cabinet and 3 shelves, Denmark 1960s
Description
Danish teak modular bookcase or and entry wall unit with large sliding doors cabinet and three shelves most likely by preben sorensen from the 60s. Very closely related to poul cadovius units from the same period, also in terms of the quality. All elements are 80 cm wide and can be arranged upon ones will, using brass hangers and slots spaced every 5 cm in the wood rails. 200 cm rails composed of two pieces each provide various possibilities of arrangement, but when they are vertical the combination together is barely visible. This vintage bookcase can be both a beautiful addition to the entrance hall and a small bedroom or living room. The unit consists of: Two shelves 20 cm deep. One shelf 25 cm deep. Cabinet with sliding doors and inner shelf; h: 49 / w: 80 / d: 45 cm. Two wooden wall rails 200 cm long combined in two pieces each. Brass hardware. The wall unit has been checked by our team. We have made sure that doors work properly, and all parts fit together. On many occasions, we have to sand down the most used parts (if they are scratched badly). Here we have rejuvenated the wood with danish oil layers. We leave minor signs of use that do not spoil the aesthetic and only confirm it is originality. We try to bring it back to its best look, still considering it is 60 years old. Clients from all around the world already have trusted our work and its fruits. If you are new to vintage furniture, you can contact us for any possible explanations and close-ups of the piece. The set is in excellent vintage condition with minor traces of use.
