Six wooden and straw chairs from the 1950s

Set of six chairs by interior designer pierre cruège, in beech and natural straw. Designed by cruège in the 1950s, these vintage chairs with geometric backs have a comfortable straw seat. Stable and sober, their lines illustrate the rigor and taste for multifaceted games of the post-war period. Functionalism, a style dear to pierre cruège, is evident here. A major french designer of the post-war period, cruège participated, in particular, in creating the decoration of the french pavilion for the 1958 universal exhibition. Price displayed for the set.
