Description
Solid oak dining room table, mounted on casters. In excellent condition. Art nouveau, circa 1900. By the krieger house, a large parisian cabinetmaking house, one of the most important of the time. Maison krieger was created in 1826 by antoine krieger and his brother nicolas in premises at 17, rue saint-nicolas in paris. It first developed as a furniture manufacturer, before adding a very important decoration service. In the 1920s and 1930s, a thousand people worked in the gigantic workshops of the faubourg saint-antoine. She initially distinguished herself in luxury production by copying 18th century furniture, empire furniture and creating very original works, notably for exhibitions, where she won a 2nd class medal in london in 1852. Manufacturer's plate and stamps present. Dimensions closed: height 75 cm width 115 cm depth 129 cm dimensions fully open: 115 X 328 extensions missing. Height for legs: 64 cm.
