Juliette Belarti coffee table in volcanic lava ceramic with chrome legs, Belgium 1960

Coffee table by Julien de Covemaeker Alias "J.Belarti" it is made of glazed ceramic tiles and the Beige colored tiles are made of volcanic lava so more matte than the colored ones which are flamboyant. Julien de Covemaeker (1927-2008) was indeed this internationally renowned ceramist from Ostend in Belgium, renowned for his very surrealist design, accentuated by emblematic figures.
