Vintage jug, jar or gargoulette in ocher yellow ceramic - glazed terracotta

Pretty piece of glazed ceramic, gargoulette, jar or jug with pouring spout and handle. It is a handcrafted piece, in glazed terracotta, ocher yellow in color. This type of piece was mainly produced in the 19th century. These glazed earthenware pouring pots are also called gargoulettes. Alone or stacked with other pieces of the same type, it will give a unique style to your interior. Due to its age, this jug has various irregularities, which gives it all its charm, but no major defects. We thus note irregularities in the ocher color of the enamelling (see photo), and a shine in the enamel (see photo). In some places the terracotta is more visible. Height with handle: 22cm diameter at widest: 14.5cm maximum length (with handle): 16cm diameter of opening: 9.5cm.
