Renovated old wardrobe

This old wooden cabinet, with its timeless charm, has regained its light natural wood during its careful renovation. It is now protected with colorless wax, while the interior, which has also been sanded and cleaned, remains in natural wood, and the interior floor painted in china clay dark 178 from little greene. The interior is completely modular since it is made up of 4 removable shelves (in wood), the mirror is new, and the handle, which is original, is made of brass. This piece of furniture is solid and the door closes well with a key. To keep all the authenticity of this old piece of furniture, the imperfections or irregularities of the wood have been preserved: they are visible in the photos, in particular the repairs of old screw holes (mainly on the right front leg), a repaired rear leg (very barely visible repair). Some old beetle holes are visible, they have been treated. Another particularity: the cabinet has been built so as to lean back a little and thus act as a counterweight so as not to risk tipping forward when opened, under the weight of the mirror. We see this in the photos taken in profile. Total dimensions: height 196 cm, depth 41.5 cm, width 81.5 cm.
