Emile Roy (1876-1973): Son of a line of master glassmakers from Sablais, Emile Roy went to the Paris School of Fine Arts, in the workshop of the Grand Prix de Rome, Auguste Leroux, before choosing to settle permanently in Les Sables to take over the family business.
