A vintage lounge chair from the 1960s. The rosewood plywood panels are in very nice condition. The original thick black leather cushions have a superb patina. They have been professionally restored and reinforced from the back (label of the german restoration company present under the cushions). After several years of development by ray & charles eames, the herman miller lounge chair went into production in the united states in 1956. In the 1960s, the lounge chair was also produced by rolf fehlbaum (founder of vitra) in europe under the name “fehlbaum-production”. This lounge chair has lost its label, but the remains are still visible; the circle of the fehlbaum logo and the outline of the square label. Very good general condition, the leather is patinated and has cracks which have been reinforced at the back of the leather.
