Mahogany desk table by Thygesen and Sørensen

This desk/table from the fredericia's king range was designed by rud thygesen and johnny sørensen. The mahogany table has a beautiful wooden front panel that protects the feet while giving the desk a more stylish look for a home office. Thygesen and sørensen created the king range of chairs and tables in 1969. The materials were dominated by rattan and beautiful wood species. When king frederik IX of denmark celebrated his 70th birthday in 1969, he received as a gift some of the furniture from the king series – hence the name of the: ) Fredericia is an iconic brand of scandinavian design founded by n. P. Ravnsø in 1911. Since its creation, this manufacturer has specialized in the creation of chairs and, later, furniture. Fredericia is renowned for its superior quality products made by the most skilled craftsmen to last from generation to generation. Fredericia has collaborated with legendary designers such as børge mogensen and nanna ditzel as well as new names in contemporary design.
