Description
Habitat lamp in egg-yellow tole. Model of the early 1970s bought by its former owner at the first habitat store opened in paris under the montparnasse tower. Rare model in this version to pose in superb condition. Pedestal, original electricity in perfect working condition. Bayonet socket, bulb provided. Some age defects on the base and a lack of paint on the reflector (see photos). "on may 11, 1964, terence conran, a young furniture designer and restorer, opened the first habitat store, fulham road, in london. His ambition was to modernize british furniture by offering contemporary design at affordable prices. The brand has grown rapidly by anticipating the tastes of the public. In 1973, habitat opened its first french store in paris, in the basement of the montparnasse tower, which in a few weeks became the most hyped place of betting.".
