Early edition Megaron floor lamp by Gianfranco Frattini for Artemide, Italy 1979

The Megaron floor lamp was designed by Gianfranco Frattini for Artemide in Italy. An iconic piece of midcentury Italian design, that is still in production. This piece is an early version, as it does not have the inbuild dimmer that the more later versions have. Also does it have an older label. The elegant uplighter consists out of a rounded tube with a polished aluminum finish that houses the modern LED technology. The tube has a 'splitter' in between to create the forest image effect. The light is dimmable by the floor switch which is a new floor dimmable switch. It is in a very good condition, with only minor signs of age and use.
