This exceptionally elegant round extension dining table, veneered in rosewood, was designed in the 1960s and is reminiscent of skovmand & andersen's work from that period. Founded in denmark, skovmand & andersen specialized in creating high-quality wooden furniture, particularly dining tables, characterized by clean lines and functional design. This table is marked by its solid construction and includes two extendable leaves, making it versatile for different settings. The rich grain of the rosewood veneer gives the table an eye-catching look, highlighting the beauty of the wood. The unique design features reinforced profiled edges made from solid rosewood and extended leaves finished with aprons, which is quite rare. With the addition of tapered, detachable legs, the table not only reflects the mid-century modern aesthetic and the superior craftsmanship of danish furniture makers but also the scandinavian fondness for functionality. The table is in great fantastic original condition. The surface has been cleaned, and the lacquer has been polished and preserved with special compounds. The extension mechanism works properly. There is a tiny dent at the joining point of the additional leaves, but it does not affect the table's functionality. Additional dimensions: Height to the apron: 67 cm. Width of a single additional leaf: 52 cm.
