Old mail holder - weekly in brass and wood

Hello, Here is a lovely mail holder in gilded brass and blue painted wood, dating from the 1940s. Each brass plate is engraved with a day of the week, from top to bottom, starting with Sunday. It is in a very good state of conservation, bearing some slight traces of time contributing to its charm. Thank you for your visit.
