Salt and pepper shaker in Puisaye stoneware by Jean Pierre Prud'homme
Description
Here are two charming stoneware pieces from puisaye, a salt shaker and a pepper shaker, with a lovely rounded shape that is very original and a beautiful enamel combining soft and comforting tones: beige, caramel and chocolate, a material and colours typical of the 70s. The result of beautiful artisanal work in turning and enamelling by jean pierre prud'homme in the 70s. Jean-pierre prud'homme founded with his wife, a craft pottery workshop in 1971 in monnaie, working with clay from nièvre (puisaye stoneware). This workshop still exists today (au grès du vent workshop), it is run by his son benoît prud'homme who took over in the 1990s-2000s and also creates very beautiful ceramics. Perfect on a table, they will also look great placed on a shelf in a collection with other stoneware because they are relatively large. They are not signed but are part of a service whose largest pieces are signed (a large soup tureen in particular that I will offer here soon). They are fitted with a small cork stopper. They are in perfect condition, no cracks, no chips, not even a chip. They measure 8 cm in diameter, 8 cm in height.
