Description
Pierre chapo’s iconic s31 stool, created in france in 1974. Perhaps the most sought-after stools of the era, testifying the architectural form-language of chapo’s work. The design plays on the assembly of three converging legs and manages to achieve an elegant, solid & stable base in elm wood which holds the full weight of a person on the seat surface. The shape of the seat is reminiscent of charlotte perriand’s stools, one of his contemporaries. The technical challenge adds to the stool’s aesthetic appeal and sculptural work. We had a set of two but one stool was sold separately.
