Desk Table in Ash, Mahogany and Cherry, Directoire style – Mid-19th century

This desk table opens with two drawers with chiseled lens buttons whose fronts are made of thick ash veneer of approximately five millimeters. The sash is cherry with dark knockout sides of recessed ash panels. The top is in blond mahogany also decorated with cherry wood stop strips. The whole rests on four spindle legs, again in cherry.
