Vintage 1960s 1.2 Metre Long Apple & Pear Fruit Design Fabric Wall Hanging

A vintage hand screen-printed pop art fabric wall-panel or table runner with an abstract, repeated pattern of apples and pears in a bold red colourway. It was created by award-winning german painter, graphic artist, fabric designer and jeweler, traute sänger (1928-2017), for her own company, sängerform, in the late 1960s. Each runner / hanging has been hand-printed onto thick cotton panels with two stitched sides and raw edges at the top and bottom ends. They are hand-washable at 30° centigrade.
