Description
Tall handmade danish mid-century modern ceramic table lamp by soholm. This table lamp was produced by soholm stentoj in denmark in the 1960s. Gorgeous glazing in different colors ranging from brown to dark blue. The base features a graphic relief made of triangular incisions. The lamp has been rewired with switch and has a new socket and shade. New european wiring and plugs. Base measures 45 cm height and 14 cm diameter. Søholm was founded in 1835, in rønne, bornholm which is famous for its pottery and fine ceramics, making it one of the oldest ceramic factories on bornholm, until its closure in 1996. Danish ceramic artist, einar johansen was employed at søholm from 1958-1966. He designed and created a wide range of stoneware, where his “blue series” is highly sought after today among collectors.
