Cleopatra daybed by designer Dick Cordemeijer

Hello, I am selling a rare and superb designer daybed (meridienne). Wooden and metal frame, the bed base is made of woven metal. I have just had the mattress redone, which is brand new and has been reupholstered in a beautiful pearl gray fabric. It is in very good condition, and is very comfortable. The frame is in its original condition, with some visible scratches on the enameled base (see photos). The "Cleopatra" Daybed was designed by Dutch designer Dick Cordemeijer and was produced by Auping in the Netherlands in the 1960s. Here are its dimensions: Height 37 cm Length 200 cm Width 90 cm. It is to be collected in Paris 7th, Duroc station. Dick Cordemeyer, born April 17, 1929 in Amsterdam, Netherlands was a Dutch furniture designer. He was best known for his work at the renowned furniture design firm De Ploeg and Auping, where he helped create several iconic pieces of Dutch modern design. Cordemeyer was influential in the development of functional and aesthetic design in furniture, and his work continues to be appreciated and respected in the design field. Auping is a Dutch company specializing in the design and manufacture of bed furniture, including mattresses, bed bases, and bed frames. It was founded in 1888 by Johannes Auping in Deventer, Netherlands. Auping is known for its commitment to quality, comfort, and innovation in the manufacturing of its products.
