Pair of 19th century cupboard doors and frame (2nd), woodwork
Description
Pair of cupboard doors, panelled and moulded on one side, 111cm wide in total by 195cm high, with their original frame with its lower crosspiece, 133cm wide by 236.5cm high in total. Fir joinery painted white on the front. The upper part of the frame, also panelled and moulded, was partly inserted into the ceiling (part without paint). The whole is mounted with tenons, mortises, and is pegged. Old stripping test clearly visible, blisters on the back, some paint defects, cracks in the door panels without affecting their solidity, old traces of fairly significant wood-eating insects. Entirely washed, and treated for safety! Wood graft visible at the bottom of the left upright. Lock and lock entry present, we do not have the key. Despite the intermediate bar that we screwed into the frame, they will need to be adjusted when installed for optimal closure. It was juxtaposed with another pair of cupboard doors, also for sale, a board fixed between the two, they thus formed a wood paneling on an entire section of wall of a bedroom upstairs (last photos). Dismantled by us. Weight: 32kg ref: 803.
