The height of elegance. Berber m'rirt (or beni m'rirt) rugs are made in the béni mellal-khénifra region, in the heart of the middle atlas, in central morocco. They represent the ultimate in moroccan berber rugs. The particularly high density weave gives the rug a tighter texture, thus requiring a substantial quantity of wool for its production. M'rirt rugs are washed and brushed once woven, giving the wool a velvety softness. They are remarkably thick, offering soft comfort, and feature patterns similar to those of beni ouarain rugs.
